The Combined Therapy Centre has links to national and international
companies (Bentley Motors, Fujitsu, Air Products) where involvement
is most effective during process design and implementation.
Many companies have introduced physiotherapy services into their
staff welfare programmes with positive results. CTC provides a
full support service to industry and recommends on workstation
layout, job rotation, Repetitive Stress Syndrome, seating, computer
location and the ergonomics of environmental design to improve
employee morale and efficiency.

• Basic assessment and treatment of employees, which can
be carried out on site with subsequent follow-up appointments and
referral to specialists if necessary.
• The identification of workstation dysfunction and subsequent
correction highlighted by associates visiting nursing staff, the
company medical officer and direct acute referral to physiotherapy
staff.
• Education of departmental managers, team leaders and associates
emphasising short-term and long-term solutions to poor working
practices.
• Liaison with Health and Safety coaches and representatives
on risk assessment tools and management.
• General lifestyle advice on personal fitness maintenance
and dietary issues.

These are organised for our industrial clients and cover back
care, flexibility training and lifestyle awareness.

Figures published by the Health & Safety Executive show that
36 MILLION working days were lost in 2006/07, 30 million to ill-health
and 6 million to work-place injury.
Our
expertise can help to reduce this financial loss with work-place
related advice linked to return-to-work programmes. As part of
this service we currently provide on-site physiotherapy to Bentley
Motor Cars Limited.
